Submit blogger sitemap to yahoo

submit your blogger sitemap to Yahoo.By submitting your sitemap to yahoo, they will index your web pages in yahoo search engine and provide you with detailed information related to your blog like which pages are linking to yours, popular pages in your site and you can submit and track feeds for your sites. Also, you have the choice to delete any URL of your blog if you won't want to index certain pages of your site. Submitting your site to yahoo is easy and give your web pages more exposure.
All you need is a YAHOO ACCOUNT(ID).However, you don't need an yahoo ID to know the information like how many pages are indexed, etc. But,if your blog is a new one or no pages in your blog are indexed(type your blog URL in yahoo search and see to check whether your web pages are indexed or not), then you want Yahoo id to submit your sites, feeds, etc.

  • Click on the 'Sign in' link which is at the top of the page, see the screenshot below(If you don't have a Yahoo id, you can get one here) and sign into your account.
  • Type your blog URL in the box provided as shown in the below screenshot.Don't forget to replace the 'yourblogurl' with the original URL of your blog and click on the 'Add My Site'

After adding your site, you need to Authenticate(Verify your ownership).

There are two ways to verify your ownership. One is to upload a file to the root directory of your site which can't be possible in blogger.Another one is to 'adding a meta tag' which is possible and the only way to verify ownership for blogger.First, copy the meta tag..

Next, sign in to your blogger account>Edit html and paste the metatag below the head tag and SAVE THE CHANGES,look at the screenshot below.

Next, you will get a message saying that 'Your site is pending authentication'

Note:Don't remove the meta tag, they will re validate your ownership by checking your ownership regularly.
Next,go back to the 'Site explorer home', and check the box next to your blog URL and click on the Manage button.

Type rss.XML or atom.xml in the box provided. It helps yahoo to discover more of your site content via your rss or atom feeds and to index your blog pages quickly whenever your blog is updated.Next, click on the add feed button.

That's it.Now,you have sucessfully submitted your blog sitemap to yahoo.Check your account after a couple of days and you will see your blog indexed in yahoo search engine.

How to Delete Your Gmail Account

Naturally you must be logged into your GMail account in order to be able to delete it. If you can't login you can't delete the account; it's that simple. This prevents just anyone from deleting your account.
"... there's no 'undo': once you delete your email account it's gone forever and cannot be restored."

Start out by logging in to your Gmail account and click on Settings:

Once you're there, go to "Accounts and Import":

Part way down the resulting page in the section labeled Google Account settings, click on the link labeled Google Account settings: Read what they say:

That's the default setup: Gmail, iGoogle and Web Search history. click on "Edit" next to My Products... at the top of that list:

The resulting page lists your options:

Now you can finally see what's going on! The question is: do you want to delete your Gmail account, or do you want to delete the entire account and all Google services?
I'm going to assume the latter, though if I'm wrong, you can see what to select here. I click on "Close account and delete all services" and get this long, complicated survey:

Ya really want to proceed? Check all the boxes, enter your password again and click on "Delete Google Account", and...

Done....

How to Set Up Google Webmaster Tools on your blogger

Adding Google Webmaster Tools is just as essential as adding Google Analytics. The 2 go hand in hand. With Webmaster Tools you can do a variety of things such as:

1)Submit an XML Sitemap
2)Set Crawler Access
3)See internal site links
4)See Top Search Queries
5)See keywords that earned a clickthrough
6)See external links to your site (backlinks)
7)View site errors in including crawl errors

Get an account with Google (its free) or use an existing one. Then go to the Google Webmaster Tools home page: www.google.com/webmasters/tools Log in and click the add a site button. Type in the URL of your website and click add.

Once you have clicked add your site you will be taken to a Verification Screen with a Meta Tag you will need to insert into the code of your blogger.

Alright, now we need to open a new window and navigate over to our Edit HTML section of our blog. (DO NOT CLOSE THE PREVIOUS WINDOW, OPEN A NEW ONE. Yes, you can get back to it, but just leave it open for this tutorial
1) Go to http://www.blogger.com/
2) Sign-in and go to your blogs control panel.
3) Click on "Template" (Callout 1 in the graphic below)
4) Then click "Edit HTML" (Callout 2 in the graphic below)

Now that we have both our verification code saved from before, and we are in the blogger "Edit HTML" section of the blog we wish to get more information on, we can place the verification code.
1) Find the "" tag in your template. (Callout 1 from the graphic below)
2) Place the code you copied from Webmaster Tools directly below the tag. (Callout 2 from the graphic below)
3) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Template"

Now with the Verification code properly placed and saved we can complete the verification process.

Go back to the Webmaster Tools window (you left it open right?) and click the verify button as noted in the graphic below.
